New Place...New Museum

Montefalco:

With museums filled with ancient work and iconology, the museum of Montefalco was a nice change of pace with a wonderful cathedral, filled with frescos and wonderful colors. In addition to that, a contemporary photography gallery (in the basement) was filled works on the Iraq war. Done by a non-American, it was interesting to see another point of view outside the United States. Not only did it have great works of art, it had artifacts, from marble capitals to metal helmets dating back to the 17th century it intrigued the viewer with another way of life. Outside of the museum, the rest of the day was filled with gelatio, sun and us working hard to complete watercolors and drawings of the Italian landscape and more. Ciao from Italy and stay tuned for the next entry.
